We're delighted to welcome Giuseppe Speri, Winemaker for Giuseppe Speri, for the next event in our Masterclass Series.
For more than 150 years, the Speri family has been one of the defining names of Valpolicella Classica, with a winemaking history that spans seven generations. Based in the heart of the appellation, the family has built its reputation through an unwavering commitment to estate-grown fruit, indigenous grape varieties and an uncompromising respect for the traditions of the region. Today, Speri farms approximately 60 hectares of vineyards across some of Valpolicella Classica's most prized sites, producing wines that are recognised internationally for their authenticity, elegance and exceptional sense of place. Since 2015, the entire estate has been certified organic, reflecting the family's long-standing dedication to sustainable viticulture and the preservation of their historic terroir.
Hosted by Giuseppe Speri, a member of the seventh generation and part of the winery's winemaking team, this masterclass offers a unique opportunity to explore the philosophy and heritage behind one of Valpolicella's benchmark producers. Giuseppe combines deep family tradition with a contemporary outlook, helping to guide the estate's ongoing commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation while preserving the distinctive identity of classic Valpolicella wines. Through a tasting of the Speri range, participants will gain insight into the family's iconic vineyards, including the celebrated Monte Sant'Urbano cru, and discover how meticulous vineyard stewardship and sensitive winemaking have established Speri as one of the world's leading producers of Amarone and Valpolicella Classico.

Event Changes: If unforeseen circumstances require us to change or cancel an event, Mercato will happily reimburse the full cost of your ticket.
Cancellations: 7 days or more from event: Mercato will provide store credit equivalent to the full cost of your ticket for cancellations that occur from the time you purchase your ticket up to 7 days before the event.
Within 7 days of event: Event bookings cancelled within 7 days of the event date are strictly non-refundable.
