Join us for a special Wine Masterclass celebrating the wines of Luigi Giordano, a family estate deeply rooted in the heart of Barbaresco in Piedmont. The Giordano story began in the early 20th century, when Giovanni Giordano established the family business during a challenging period for Italian agriculture. His son Luigi later took the courageous step of moving from simply growing and selling grapes to vinifying the family's own fruit, beginning a tradition of estate-grown Barbaresco that continues today. Now in its fourth generation, the family remains devoted to expressing the character of the Langhe through wines that respect both tradition and the individual personality of each vineyard.

At the heart of the masterclass will be Luigi Giordano's celebrated Barbaresco DOCG wines, including three of their most renowned crus: Cavanna, Asili and Montestefano. Cavanna holds a particularly special place in the estate's history, having been the first vineyard Luigi vinified as a single vineyard in 1971. Asili is one of Barbaresco's most sought-after sites, renowned for producing wines of exceptional finesse and elegance, while Montestefano is recognised for its depth, structure and remarkable ageing potential. Together, these wines offer a fascinating opportunity to taste how different vineyard sites can shape Nebbiolo and reveal the extraordinary diversity of Barbaresco's terroir.

Our host for the evening will be Nik Panetta from Vinify, who will guide you through the wines, stories and vineyards that have made Luigi Giordano such an intriguing name in Barbaresco. Expect an engaging exploration of Nebbiolo, the Langhe and the philosophy behind these beautifully traditional wines, with the opportunity to taste some of Luigi Giordano's most distinctive expressions. Whether you are already passionate about Piedmont or simply keen to discover more about one of Italy's great wine regions, this promises to be a memorable evening of wine, history and discovery.
