Vigneron and proprietor of ARPEPE, Isabella Perego, is coming to Mercato!
A rare opportunity to taste the remarkable wines of the Perego family from Valtellina, in northern Italy-the historic homeland of Nebbiolo, known locally as Chiavennasca. Whether you are passionate about Nebbiolo, the wines of Piedmont, or Australian expressions of the variety, this tasting offers a fascinating insight into its alpine origins and the story of a region that has quietly preserved one of Italy's greatest winemaking traditions.
Founded over 150 years ago(trading at Pellizzati from 1860 to 1973 and as ARPEPE from 1984), this estate has remained the benchmark for traditional Valtellina, playing a vital role in preserving and reviving this extraordinary mountain wine region. Its 13 hectares of organically farmed vineyards cling to dramatic stone terraces across the renowned subzones of Sassella, Grumello and Inferno, in the heart of the Valtellina Superiore DOCG.
At these high elevations, the alpine climate shapes wines of striking perfume, elegance and precision. Gentle winemaking, with long ageing in large-format oak casks and minimal intervention in the cellar, allows the purity, finesse and unmistakable character of these exceptional vineyards to shine

Policy for all events are outlined below:
Event Changes: If unforeseen circumstances require us to change or cancel an event, Mercato will happily reimburse the full cost of your ticket.
Cancellations: 7 days or more from event: Mercato will provide store credit equivalent to the full cost of your ticket for cancellations that occur from the time you purchase your ticket up to 7 days before the event.
Within 7 days of event: Event bookings cancelled within 7 days of the event date are strictly non-refundable.
