The Antinori Family
Tormaresca is the Puglian estate of the Antinori family, one of Italy’s most influential wine dynasties, whose winemaking story began in 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. Across 26 generations, the family has balanced a deep respect for tradition with a willingness to innovate, helping shape the course of modern Italian wine. Inspired by that pioneering spirit, Piero Antinori established Tormaresca in Puglia in the late 1990s to unlock the potential of southern Italy’s native varieties and diverse terroirs. Today, the estate combines more than six centuries of winemaking heritage with sustainable viticulture and a passion for expressing the warmth, character and Mediterranean soul of Puglia.
