Terms and conditions:
Mercato only accepts orders from persons over the age of 18 years. By placing an order with us the customer is confirming they are over the age of 18 and accepting towards the following terms and conditions.
Mercato take our responsible service of alcohol obligations seriously. By placing an order with us the customer confirms:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You acknowledge that it is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.
- You warrant that you are not obtaining alcohol on behalf of any one under the age of 18
Payment of purchases is via Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
GST is included in all our prices.
We reserve the right to change the prices of products at any time before an order is placed.
Damages and faults:
If you have received incorrect or damaged items, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving the product. Please make note of any notable damage to packaging or leaking. Contact can be made either by email or by phone. Replacements or refunds will be arranged when appropriate.
If you believe that a product supplied by Mercato has an unsatisfactory fault, please contact us within 14 days of receiving the product. We will then determine if a refund or replacement is appropriate in accordance to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law and relevant state legislation. Products may need to be accessed for faults, in which case photographic evidence may need to provided. Other cases may require the product to be sent back to Mercato. If products are deemed free of fault they will be returned to the customer at the customers expense.
Failure of the customer to access ingredients of products for possible allergens or dietary requirements are not considered to be a fault of the product. A customer’s personal dislike regarding the flavour of a product is not considered to be a fault. Flavour is subjective, and whilst Mercato endeavour to source the best quality products from Italy and across Australia we can not promise to cater to every person’s individual tastes. Artisanal imported produce often taste different than produce created using industrial means thus we offer as much information as possible in product descriptions to equip our customers with the knowledge to make an informed decision.
Change of mind:
Please take care and consideration when selecting products by reading product descriptions. Our online store has been set up to offer as much information as possible about each product and Mercato are contactable via email or phone to answer any in-depth questions about any products.
‘Change of mind’ returns will be excepted with 14 days of delivery date on the basis that the products integrity has not been compromised. Open packets or products are unable to be returned unless a fault has been discovered. Products can be returned, with proof of purchase, to Mercato in person (625-627 Lower North East Road, Campbelltown, South Australia). In the instance a product needs to be shipped back to Mercato, this is at the expense of the customer.
How to return:
If you live in Adelaide, the easiest way to return a product is to visit us instore at Mercato. If the product requires shipping, please get in contact via phone or email so we can assist you with these arrangements.
Please note that occasionally the vintages displayed on the website may not reflect what is physically in stock due to low stock levels or incoming stock form suppliers. We will be in touch with you should this occur to offer an alternative solutions.
