A distinguished single-vineyard Etna Rosso made from century-old bush vines on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. Elegant yet powerful, it displays aromas of sour cherry, wild berries, dried rose, balsamic herbs, ash, liquorice, tobacco and volcanic minerality. The palate is silky and layered, with refined tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, savoury finish marked by notes of cherry, spice and smoky lava stone. A superb partner for roasted lamb, game, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.

Producer Info: Founded in 2007 by Silvia Maestrelli, Tenuta di Fessina is one of the leading estates on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. Working alongside renowned viticulturist Federico Curtaz, the winery focuses on expressing the unique volcanic terroir through indigenous Sicilian varieties. Il Musmeci is the estate's flagship wine, sourced from a historic vineyard planted in 1932 with pre-phylloxera bush vines at 700 metres elevation. The wine is named in honour of Ignazio Musmeci, whose careful stewardship preserved these exceptional old vines for future generations.
