Suavia is a family story deeply rooted in the hills of Soave Classico, where the Tessari family has lived and cultivated vines since the nineteenth century in the small village of Fittà. The winery itself was founded in 1982 by Giovanni Tessari and his wife Rosetta, who believed in the extraordinary potential of their land and decided to begin producing their own wines rather than simply selling grapes. Today, their daughters Meri, Valentina and Alessandra continue that vision, carrying forward a philosophy built on family, authenticity and a profound connection to the territory they call home.
Named after the ancient Latin name for Soave, Suavia has become one of the region’s most respected producers, renowned for wines that capture the distinctive character of the area's volcanic soils and native varieties. The family remains devoted to Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, farming organically and working with old vineyards that have been nurtured by generations of the family. Through a combination of careful vineyard stewardship, thoughtful winemaking and an unwavering respect for their origins, Suavia has earned a reputation for producing elegant, mineral-driven wines that stand among the finest expressions of Soave Classico.
