The palate is full-bodied and structured, supported by vibrant acidity and firm, polished tannins that soften beautifully with time. Layers of red fruit, liquorice, resin and earthy complexity lead to a long, persistent finish. An outstanding match for roast meats, game, braised beef, truffle dishes and aged cheeses.

Producer Info: Producer Info: Founded in 1912, Giovanni Sordo is one of Barolo's historic family-owned estates based in Castiglione Falletto. The winery owns vineyards across many of the Langhe's most prestigious crus, producing traditionally styled Barolo that highlights the individuality of each site. Fermentation is carried out with extended maceration in stainless steel before maturation for 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks, followed by bottle ageing. This traditional approach produces elegant, terroir-driven wines with outstanding ageing potential.
