Sandro Tasoniero
Sandro De Bruno is a family winery rooted in the volcanic hills of Monte Calvarina, between Soave and the Lessini Mountains, where the family has been making wine for three generations. Founded in 2002 by Sandro Tasoniero and his wife Marina Ferraretto, the estate is built around a deep respect for the land and a desire to preserve the character of the area’s native varieties. Their vineyards sit at around 600 metres above sea level, where volcanic soils and the mountain climate give the wines distinctive freshness and minerality.
For Sandro De Bruno, tradition and nature are at the centre of winemaking. The family follows sustainable farming principles, using organic fertilisers, avoiding synthetic herbicides and keeping intervention in the vineyard to a minimum. In the cellar, traditional methods are combined with gentle, non-invasive technology, allowing the wines to remain faithful to the character of the grapes and their volcanic origins. The result is a range of expressive, long-lived wines that reflect both the family’s passion and the distinctive identity of the Lessini and Soave hills.
