Meet the producer

Founded in 1958 by parish priest Don Fiorino Marengo, Produttori del Barbaresco was created to give local growers a stronger future and ensure the recognition of Barbaresco as one of Italy's great wine regions. Inspired by the pioneering work of Domizio Cavazza, the man who first championed Barbaresco as a distinct wine in 1894, the cooperative united 19 families around a shared belief in Nebbiolo and the extraordinary vineyards of the village. Today, more than 50 families continue that vision, farming their own historic parcels and working collectively to craft wines that express the unique character of Barbaresco. Widely regarded as one of the world's greatest wine cooperatives, Produttori remains devoted exclusively to Nebbiolo, combining tradition, patience and an unwavering commitment to quality.
