Meet the producer
Macchialupa is a family winery rooted in Chianche, in the hills of Irpinia, where the family’s vineyards and cellar are dedicated to expressing the character of this distinctive part of Campania. Their work is centred on the native varieties of the region, with a particular focus on Greco and Fiano, allowing the cool climate and hillside vineyards to shape wines with freshness, minerality and character.
The estate takes a hands-on approach in both vineyard and cellar, with a philosophy built around respecting the land and allowing the grapes to express their natural identity. Rather than chasing a particular style, Macchialupa focuses on making honest, characterful wines that reflect the landscape of Irpinia and the family’s long connection to it."
