Francesco Boschis Pianezzo 2023 is a pure, site-driven expression of Dolcetto from one of Dogliani's most respected crus. Grown at high altitude on calcareous marl and clay soils, it captures both aromatic lift and the natural structure that defines this hillside vineyard.
The nose is perfumed and detailed, showing black cherry, wild plum and violet alongside hints of graphite, fennel and gentle spice. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm but supple frame, carrying juicy dark and red berries with a subtle bitter almond edge. Fresh acidity and fine tannins give shape and length, finishing savoury and precise.
Unadorned and beautifully balanced, this is a classic Piedmont red that works brilliantly with pasta ragù, roasted game, mushroom dishes or aged cheeses, and can comfortably develop over the short to medium term.
