Cordero di Montezemolo is one of Piedmont's historic wine families, with a viticultural heritage stretching back 19 generations in the Langhe. At the heart of the estate is Monfalletto in La Morra, a historic property whose roots date back to the 14th century. The estate came into the Cordero di Montezemolo family through the marriage and inheritance of the Falletti family line, and today Giovanni Cordero di Montezemolo continues the family tradition alongside his children, Elena and Alberto.
Today, the family cultivates more than 50 hectares of vineyards across some of the Langhe's most celebrated sites, including La Morra, Alba, Castiglione Falletto, Guarene and Cherasco. The estate is particularly renowned for its Barolo, with Monfalletto, Gattera and Enrico VI representing different expressions of the family's vineyards and philosophy. Cordero di Montezemolo has also embraced certified organic viticulture across its vineyards, while maintaining a strong focus on expressing the character of Nebbiolo and the distinctive soils and exposures of the Langhe.
For this Wine Masterclass, Cordero di Montezemolo offers a fascinating window into both the history and evolution of Barolo. The estate's flagship Barolo Monfalletto draws from approximately 14 hectares of the historic La Morra vineyard, with individual parcels harvested and vinified separately before the final blend is assembled. Its wines reflect a philosophy deeply connected to place, patience and family continuity-an ideal story to explore with Daniel Marcella as he guides guests through the wines and the people, vineyards and traditions behind them.

Event Changes: If unforeseen circumstances require us to change or cancel an event, Mercato will happily reimburse the full cost of your ticket.
Cancellations: 7 days or more from event: Mercato will provide store credit equivalent to the full cost of your ticket for cancellations that occur from the time you purchase your ticket up to 7 days before the event.
Within 7 days of event: Event bookings cancelled within 7 days of the event date are strictly non-refundable.
