Meet the producer

Founded in 1885, Brezza is one of Barolo’s oldest family estates, with four generations dedicated to preserving the traditions and character of the Langhe. The winery takes its name from Giacomo Brezza, who, alongside his father Antonio, bottled the estate’s first wines in 1910. Located just outside the village of Barolo itself, the family has spent more than a century cultivating some of the region’s most prized vineyard sites, building a reputation for authenticity, patience and an unwavering commitment to quality. Today, the estate remains firmly in family hands, guided by the belief that great wines are born from a deep understanding of the land and a profound respect for its history.

While deeply rooted in tradition, Brezza has never stood still. The family was an early advocate of organic farming in Barolo, embracing sustainable viticulture as a natural extension of their commitment to the health of their vineyards and the expression of terroir. In both the vineyard and cellar, their philosophy is one of restraint and respect, allowing each variety and site to speak with clarity and precision. The result is a collection of wines that embody the elegance, balance and longevity for which the Langhe is celebrated, carrying forward a family legacy more than 140 years in the making.
