Gianluca Bisol

Bisol’s story stretches back five centuries and 21 generations, with the family’s roots in the hills of Valdobbiadene documented as early as the 16th century. Through wars, changing times and generations of family, the passion for these hills and their wines endured. In the years after the Second World War, Desiderio “Jeio” Bisol became the driving force behind the family’s next chapter, travelling the steep hills of Valdobbiadene on his red Moto Guzzi in search of the finest vineyard plots. He understood that the most difficult slopes, with their challenging terrain and distinctive soils, could produce Glera of exceptional character, and devoted himself to finding and nurturing these special sites.

That same devotion remains at the heart of Bisol today. Across generations, the family has built its name on an intimate knowledge of the land and a belief that great Prosecco begins with great vineyards. It is a story of patience, perseverance and a genuine love for Valdobbiadene, with each generation carrying forward the ambition to capture the character of these extraordinary hills in the glass.
