Product: This one hails from Franciacorta, where Italy's finest sparkling wines are made, from one of the best producers, Ca' del Bosco. Chardonnay is dominant at 75%, delivering fresh apple notes, and yeasty, nutty nuances met with lively bead and superb length. Perfectly balanced, it finishes dry - it is a brut after all - but with plenty of ripeness and richness on the palate. Lovely.

Producer Info: When a fifteen year old Maurizio Zanella moved with his mother moved to Erbusco and planted the first vineyard, the initial contact with what would be the love of his life began. Years later and after a trip to Champagne, to the famous maisons whose wine had always fascinated and inspired him, Maurizio returned with the unshakeable idea of making something similar. What was once a house in a chestnut wood became one of the most trailblazing wineries in Italy. Since then a single principle has been defining the essence of Ca' del Bosco: the quest for excellence.
