Producer Info: One of the most admired names of the region, Castell’in Villa has remained true to the Sangiovese character of Chianti Classico, which is enjoying a renaissance among elite Italian wines.
Led by the renowned Princess Coralia Pignatelli della Leonessa, the daughter of a Greek aristocrat, the estate pioneered site-specific, premium Chianti Classico crafted with 100% sangiovese and remains one of the iconic estates in Tuscany

Tasting note: A deep crimson red colour. Typical sour cherry and red fruit character with bramble notes. The palate has a supple, lithe character full of perfumed fruit and is given depth by a mineral vein. Structure comes from the taut acidity and tannin structure.

Production: 100% Sangiovese from various sites in the South-Eastern corner of Castelnuovo Berardenga, Chianti Classico, Tuscany, alluvial soil with pebbles and sand, 250-300m ASL, 10-12 days maceration in steel, ageing in large Slavonian Oak botti for 24 months, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
