SATURDAY 22nd FEBRUARY | 10AM - 2PM

Passata Day is the sacred annual ritual celebrated by Italian-Australian families when tomatoes are at their prime. In Australia tomatoes are ripest in February when summer is at its hottest. Tomato harvest signals it's time to make passata di pomodoro (tomato sauce) where family and friends come together for a day to chop, stir and bottle this special sauce to be shared by all throughout the year.

Under the expert guidance of Imma, Mario and crew, discover the artform of how to make your own Passata and Pelati using the freshest and ripest locally grown Roma tomatoes. Learn the Caporaso family’s longstanding secrets and tips and be guided through the very same process that has been used by their ancestors for generations. Then sit down for a long table lunch curated and prepared by Nick Bergin with paired wines and new friends.

Let’s get saucy!

Saturday 22nd February | 10am – 2pm | $190
