Olive Ascolane (Olivini) is a meat and herb stuffed olives originating from the Ascoli Piceno region in Le Marche. Ascolane refers to the variety of fleshy green olives used traditionally for this recipe. The stuffed olives are then crumbed and deep fried before being served at aperitivo time, although they are so delicious you will want to serve them all the time!
Heating instructions: Preheat oven to 170°C and bake until heated through (approximately 15 minutes)
Ingredients: Green olives, Parmesan cheese, pork mince, beef mince, chicken mince, ‘00’ flour, eggs, wine, carrots, onion, celery, lemon zest, nutmeg, salt, breadcrumbs.
