Sperlari Mostarda Di FruttaSperlari
Product: Candied cherries, figs, apricots and pears packed in a natural syrup and mustard oil.
Region: Cremona, Italy
Producer Information: It all started in 1836 in Cremona, when Enea Sperlari sensed the commercial potential of the typical cake of the Cremonese tradition: nougat. More than 180 years have passed since that fundamental intuition.
Tasting Notes: The taste is sweet, yet slightly warm. Makes a perfect condiment for smoked or dried meats as well as Italian cheeses. Mostarda is a typical specialty of Northern Italy - especially Cremona.
